Context: I work 8-5 and then 7-7 on call. Yesterday, Saturday, I was in the ER for what has turned out to be an incurable disease and wasn't released until 6 PM. While I was in the hospital I kept up with the on call tasks that came in and forwarded them to my management because I was, well, in the hospital. Management did not help and asked me to make several calls which I let them know I could not do. When I got out of the hospital I finished the on call tasks until about 2 am. Ops Manager (D) just texted me this after I let them know systems are down and I could not get into my computer. She had meant to send it to my supervisor. I still have work left to do today but I definitely don't want to do work without knowing if I'm getting paid. What should I do? I'm at my wits end and I need out but I can't financially justify quitting without unemployment.
