That work from home stuff going away.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEoFJVQfx-w The first step is three days a week at the office. Then it's back to five days a week at the office. If workers give in to step one, step two will soon follow.
I work a Fast Food job. We are so short staffed that the Corporate HQ people (for the franchise, not the overall company) are having to come and work in stores. Accountants, Logistics, Finance, HR, etc. are coming in and making burgers and fries.
Not giving my age obviously, but I'm not old enough to move out I'll say that much. I constantly see people's personal stories online, crazy behavior from large companies, and terrible attitudes towards these issues from the wealthy. “Just work harder and smarter” Absolutely delusional. Anyways, I'm not looking forward to what lies ahead. I see first hand how hard my parents work at their jobs to just afford housing costs as middle class/lower middle class. They don't even have low paying jobs. I don't see how I'm going to be able to take care of myself and I think unless I do something drastic I'll have to stay with them for awhile. I like them a lot, but I think I'll be missing out on some important experiences. Right now I'm working a lot to get good grades so I can possibly get into a college and then eventually…
I was then asked what do I bring to the company that’ll help improve it, which I wasn’t sure what to answer?
Do you need someone urgently or not? I’m not wasting my time doctoring up a resume when I have a masters degree. I just need some extra cash.
Corps dont even care about hecklers
In some places hecklers have started to appear that would offer to take your shopping cart back to keep the 20-50c coin. When you reach your car and unload they come and offer to take it back. that's still mildly annoying and corps are doing absolutely nothing about it, not caring that i will go shop elsewhere. Problem is it got SUPER ANNOYING at the kaufland i would go once per 1-2 months to buy bulk energy drinks and such. You have some old guy waiting in front of the store where the carts are, and when you come back (bringing your own cart back from the car) he asks you for the coin, not planning on doing any labor himself. Literally just stand and hassle people. and Kaufland is doing nothing about it. Ive went 3 times over the last 4 months and theres always some hassler. The last…
for context i worked in a town that’s mostly populated with poc and i’m white. i was the only person at my job who was white as well as the only male worker. the manager was very racist and sexist to me almost every day. after almost every shift i worked she would message the work group chat about a problem she fabricated to try to put down on me. i had coworkers tell lies about me saying i either did things i shouldn’t have or didn’t do things i was supposed to have done. this went on for months until one of my coworkers told the manager that i repeatedly called her a “dumb bitch” which is absolutely not true. the manager texted me and asked about it and i of course denied that it was true. she read the message, then about 20 minutes later said that i…
