I thought I'd take the time to outline a list of recent offenses and advocate for us to protest. The Supreme Court's move to repeal Roe v Wade is a grave violation of basic human rights, we cannot tolerate this blatant effort on the part of conservatives to disproportionately target women and minorities, the result of this move will be to trap those in the most precarious economic and social conditions. I worked for a start up. I was initially hired on as a tech support role but I was asked to do many different things because ya know…we were a small team and we all wore different hats to help the company grow. Shipping support, sales, working with the dev team to resolve bugs, social media, Kickstarter, etc. You name it in a start up, I did it. I worked my ass off putting in so much overtime because I wanted to help the company succeed and grow. Today after a meeting where we were being trained on some new protocols, my manager messaged me asking if we can chat real quick. I figured it was to go over new protocols. But no, I was told I’m being let go due to “budget cuts” effective immediately. And told “there’s a lot of jobs out there hiring so you’ll be fine”…

May last year I got what I thought to be the best job ever. Good pay, working from home, free weekends, I had a nice team to work with. And it was honestly a really good job until the end of the year, when by contract they had one extra person on this project, and decided to change me to another team within the same project. Since this happened I feel I’m going downhill, lack of motivation, more and more left out and like no one listens to my suggestions or understands my situation.
