Know Anyone Who Needs To Be Punished?
I was leaving a customer site and chatting with the client. The business is a plant nursery. The client was telling me that they were having a hard time finding employees to weed because all the potential candidates wanted more per hour than they were willing to pay. In the next breath without blinking an eye she asked me if I had any children that needed to be punished if so she would hire the child to weed. No joke. Dead serious.
Recently I have been having to work two of the busiest posts at my job by myself at the same time and it happens several times a week. They tried to make it easier by removing some of my duties while I am by myself but it doesn’t help at all since both posts can be pretty fast paced. I am officially fed up and feel like I am being taken advantage of. I do actually like my job and I don’t want to leave but I am the only employee that has to do this because of my schedule and it happens on the busiest shifts several times a week due to being understaffed. I want to write an email stating that I’m no longer comfortable working like this but I want to be as professional as possible and cover all my bases. I’m trying not to come off…
