You guys did it, you pushed me to stand up for myself. Now I’m working with someone who has my same ideals, genuinely cares about their teams, and rewards hard work. Hard to find, but I wouldn’t have without you all.
Earlier today i finally quit from my bartending job. I've worked there for almost 4 years. I felt pretty sick today and had a fever of 100.8 this morning. So i called my boss and said that i have a fever and couldn't come today but since it was “unscheduled” he said i have to come today. I still said no and he insisted I have to go but I of course continued saying no. He eventually told me that I must go to work today or be fired. I just said ok and hung up. I'm sorry I couldn't plan ahead of time when I'd get sick for my boss's convenience. Does he understand basic human biology? People really are so greedy they throw common sense out the window
I know this probably isn’t a new thought, but it just really baffles me how obvious some solutions seem. Like.. clearly when people are not in poverty, they can focus more on work. When people aren’t worried about where they’re going to live, how they’re going to afford their car and gas, how they’re going to afford groceries and things like diapers, etc. they’ll be able to focus more on working and enjoying the work. And then customers will be happy because the staff won’t be stressed as fuck! Inflation is through the roof, pay is the same. Doesn’t seem right to me? Because that sounds like owners get paid more and employees paid less. Makes you wonder how people become billionaires?
even the robots are sick of it
Started a new job, thoughts?

I worked for 13 hours, had 1 call. have been harassing people nonstop to sell them. I cracked. I quit. I feel great. I am so happy. I sent an email saying I was done and thank you and I will not be going to the office tomorrow. Thanks, Reddit. Appreciate your support through this!
