Final Interview Bait and Switch!
I get to the final interview of a “Remote Job”. The Fortune 500 Company then tells me the position is no longer remote. Wait I spent all this time interviewing when the company knew it was not remote. The company wanted to relocate. I said no way if I give in that company will always think they can control me.
Title, pretty much, this just happened an hour ago. I was interviewing for a job I really wanted and am extremely qualified for, with several specialty certifications that are hard to come by. I was getting along great with the extra managers brought in for the interview, it was going well right till the end when I brought up compensation just to confirm it was $50k a year like advertised and that we had discussed, and the guy who originally interviewed me said “oh, yeah, we actually start at $16 an hour.” When I expressed disbelief he got pissy and said “well you aren't going to get rich working here.” So, yeah. This seems to be a trend around here, my husband got a job offer with an excellent salary and then when it came time to sign the paperwork it was close to $30k less than what had been…
Was approached by a company for a job I was moderately qualified in. Wage scale according to the post was $32-$42/hr DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE. I asked for $37 and was told no. No counter offer, nothing. I have 4 years experience using the EXACT same equipment they use, just in a slightly different space. So I asked if we could meet in the middle at $34.50. Was told they would look into it. I'm now being ghosted, no phone calls, emails, texts being returned and it's been over two weeks. I hate this place.
A final middle finger
Gave in my notice once upon a time at my first job after deciding I’d rather live on the streets than work a day more at where I was. Here it is: Dear Sirs, Please accept this letter as a notice of resignation on my position as a Graduate Java Developer. I feel obligated to explain my decision in hopes that it sparks positive change for the colleagues that I’m leaving behind. This decision was primarily concluded due to the lack of training & support provided amongst employees. When in need of assistance, I have often felt within a hostile and intimidating environment, which has hindered my career growth and has made the learning curve of what’s already there even more difficult. Though I have discussed this situation with the plan to improve, I do not think significant changes can be made in this case so as to compel me…
My cousin is her realtor and has went through the entire process with her. The bank approved her loan, she paid $500 for an inspection on this house that her offer was accepted at, she has an FHA loan so she has all these hoops, like she has to keep $2,700 on her account until closing and all this other shit, but she already put $1,900 of good faith money up and paid $500 for an inspection. But basically, they got to the end where all they had to do was sign they paperwork, and now they’re bringing up her student loans. She has to pay $5,000 to not be in default on loans she only owes $6,000 on. She doesn’t even owe close to what others owe. Why they’d say it now, after all of this, is beyond me. They’ve made it to where it’s damn near impossible to…
Best way to quit a job
I worked at a job for 17 years and had 5 weeks of PTO at the beginning of the yr. My work week was three days a week. So I called in 2 days a week every week till I was out of time. Then I took FMLA for 12 weeks. Then never showed backed up.
