I was looking for a second job because fuck these prices, I applied for a job posting and got called in for an interview. Now, the salary was indeed low but the benefits were not bad at all, and I was planning on negotiating it a little higher, as I was confident in my experience and qualifications, I could have definitely proved it would have been worth it. The interview starts, and while I don't get the bestest of vibes from them, they do sound genuinely interested in hiring me. Got an email saying “we are 45 days away from going back onsite”. I work for the federal government. In IT. I stare at a computer screen all day and work on servers and different application. I’ve been doing it from home fine for the past two years (I was hired when the office was closed). Our whole team and ENTIRE IT department has proven we work just fine from home. Why would you then want ppl back onsite? Just because? Just so you can stare at them?
