Watch out for this scam for workers
I already dread working here. Job is incredibly monotonous and I don’t see how it’s going to add for college development/trajectory? I have the option to work for a month at this camp where I’ll make $5000 and potentially + 10($25)*7 Whole Foods I’ll make about 350-400 a week which in three weeks is $1500. What the hell should I do?? I literally just started Whole Foods and I’m regretting it Edit: apologize if this post comes off as immature
So, I work in e-commerce for a pretty large company. I basically list items online all day. Our goal is around 10 items an hour, which should be around 80 a day. My co-workers average somewhere between 30-50 a day, after looking at their numbers for a couple weeks, while I average between 110-130, and I’ve been hitting this average since the day I started. Along with those, I usually work in 2-3 other positions on a daily basis due to lack of product because I list it all. I only make $11 an hour and I just graduated with a degree a couple weeks ago. So, with my past experience, performance, and education, I thought I earned some sort of wage increase, even if just a few more dollars. Along with how expensive living and existing is, I feel like I deserved one regardless, we all do. But I…

Boss won’t give me my overtime money
Last spring break two of my co-workers went on vacation which left me to pick up there work, and I ended up working 46 hours in just one week. I should say I’m only 17 and still in school (but because it was spring break I wasn’t at the time obviously) I worked 7 days straight that week with my hours fluctuating from just 5 hours to 9 hours a day. When I asked my boss about over time he said “ I don’t do overtime” he also said he knew he wasn’t suppose to do this but said it wasn’t in his budget to pay people $18 an hour. This surprised me at the time I didn’t know what to say, isn’t there some sort of rule he’s breaking with me being underage and working that much on-top of not paying people overtime? He also said I was the…
parking tickets
Hey everyone, quick question for my buddy. He works at a restaurant in California thats in a plaza and has a limit of 2 hour parking. He says that the employees are expected to move their car every 2 hours otherwise they get ticketed. So far hes got 2 tickets and has had to pay 100$ is this something that management shouldve dealt with or even have prepaid or validated parking for employees? Thanks
