So I applied at this Holiday Inn. Found the job on Glass door it posted 30 days or so ago. Decided to apply because it was a quick application. Got a call back asking for me to come in for an interview. They emailed me the information which was nice of them. They added in the some of the scheduled shifts. Here is a copy and paste. “We have you scheduled for Wednesday @ 1pm for the interview. Please stop in at the desk, ask for an application and after filling it out, the interview will be done with No name. Please call if anything changes prior. Please note that this position is a shift position working 3-11pm shifts, and it requires working Friday 3-11pm, Saturday 3-11pm and Sunday 7-12noon.” Less then eight hours between two shifts? Come on that's no way to treat anyone. No wonder they can't find…
Don’t work for Tecnic Quebec.
No words for this
So close to handing in my notice….
Been working at a hospital for 3+ years. During COVID I got redeployed to another department that handled infection prevention measures & was on the front lines. Now that infection rates have plummeted I thought I’d be going back to my original department. Nope. When I asked for a raise for taking on all this additional work that I never signed up to do, I got 44 cents and an atta girl. Was told I couldn’t do my work from home now either after proving that I could. I have a virtual team meet & greet lined up for another organization this week. It’s the last thing in the interview process. It’ll be a remote job, better pay, not front line work & working in record management which is my passion. I’m dying to get this job. Please put some good vibes, prayers, etc. towards me! Don’t take no for…
I work in fintech and make decent money currently. I found a better role with a 50% raise and title bump. I put in my 2 weeks last week and I have been getting bombarded with more work than I have ever received. my manager is out on paternity leave and he's excellent but his superiors are not so much. They're constantly assigning me tasks left and right. things that don't even pertain to me. I did the first few tasks, but then I realized why? What are they going to do? Fire me? I thought about not burning bridges but I don't even care at this point. Not a bridge I want to keep. HR also tried to guilt-trip me about why I'm leaving after they were “so nice to me during my medical leave”, which yes they were. They were very accommodating but since when is it a…

I live in a state where marijuana is legalized but most jobs still require a pre employment drug panel that includes testing for marijuana. So, there's this product called Quick Fix sold at most head shops, novelty stores etc. It is synthetic urine in a bottle that comes with a hot hands style heat pack to get it up to body temperature. I have now used it 3 times for 3 different pre employment screenings and have passed every time. $15 for the kit that comes in a yellow and black box. Fuck discrimination from employers based on your decisions.
