I’m in a temp job and every ten minutes the boss is checking on everything any of us in the team do and then if you walk by then continue to criticize. I would love to leave but I can’t afford it (so that’s not an option)

Some context. I quit on the fly a short while ago and it’s been a back and forth trying to get my last paycheck. Today I’m finally going to get it but not before I have one last conversation with the boss. I can’t just go pick it up, he’s holding it specifically so I have to go see him again. I’ve heard others say that he’s told them be to never come back if they quit. I have 0 desire to ever go back and already found another job part of a union. Huge difference. Hello I'm a restaurant server. My boss has been cutting out hours and not granting us (me and my coworkers) double shifts, due to the fact that he doesn't want anyone taking breaks, on top of the fact the our management routinely makes us (the servers) pay for any walk out bills. Now I'm at my breaking point, but I'm a single dad who's just barely hanging on, my question is who do I go too to get these criminals fired, do I go to the police or HR. I'm just a 24 year old who's scared of losing his children because he's about to lose his job.
