There are 168 hours in a week. If you spend 40 working and 56 sleeping (assuming 8 hours), that leaves 72. Your “free time” isn’t even a majority of the total time it takes you to get through a week. And that doesn’t even count getting up, getting ready and going to work.

Let that sink in.

Corporations are trying to make customers snitch on restaurants instead of changing outdated time limits… Do not snitch on fast food workers for trying their best to hit time goals.

Manager got promoted, new manager threatened to fire me, I quit

First time ranting thanks for listening. I’ve been at a job for a little over two months. Honestly it’s a sweet gig up until my manager told me he was being promoted because his team was the best in the nation. No surprise there, he’s a great manager. I was weary but held out hope the new guy wouldn’t be trash. Then on our first call when he introduced himself he called himself a stickler. Not sure why anyone would willingly refer to themselves that way. Red flag. I had a conversation with my og manager yesterday in which I brought up concerns and he told him I didn’t feel like I was performing well. He told me that my total hours were low but I produced great work. Four hours later I get an email from my new manager threatening to fire me for not doing a good job.…

I’ve been jobless for 7 months and it’s the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.

The office was shut down during COVID and I worked remotely for almost 2 years. My job was easily done 100% remotely (data entry, emails, purchasing, account maintenance and customer communication). I was “let go” after refusing to commute 3 hours each way when I left the state my former company was in. I have not collected a dime from unemployment, I’ve been living off my savings. Every time I think about getting back into work I am immediately anxious. I now live outside the US and am the happiest I’ve ever been. I use my time to enjoy life, work out, learn a new language, explore the country I live in now. I never want to work again but the money is running out. 🙁 If you are ever fortunate enough to not work for a few months or a year, I wholeheartedly recommend living to LIVE for as…

Just ghosted an interview.Felt totaly justified.

So I had an interview scheduled for yesterday.Got to the location 20 minutes early.Sat in my car for 10 minutes and walked in side.Got into the vestibule and the door was locked.Thought to my self “well I'm a little early.” Sat there another 70 minutes untill an employee came along.Talked to them a little and they called the interviewer. The interview said they could come in 20 minutes or reschedule.Same time next day.All I said was “shure” Flash forward to this morning I was thinking about the job and my exsperience. After dealing with so many inept bosses. The way they approached the interview felt disrespectful and a big red flag.Decideding screw those people.Didn't even call.Just cleaned my house didn't look back.
