Do you have to pay a fine or something? For what I understand you don't have to pay anything if you live in the us. In my country (Italy) you have to give 15 days notice otherwise 15 days of your wage will be retained from you. So here is the question. Why my US friends keep giving the 15 days notice when is not in your advantage at all? I love my us folks very much Sorry for my bad English
I’ve come to the conclusion that Christian sharia (don’t say gay, report trans kids to child services, fine teachers who teach things that you don’t agree with religiously, book burnings) is a reaction to the gains labor made during the pandemic. Part 1: declare pandemic over Part 2a: start a culture war Part 2b: start an international war Part 3: go back to abusing workers and see if enough get tricked into voting against their self interest in the culture war, or enough poor kids go off to war & nationalism catches up others who might engage in class warfare. All our institutions have failed us, and now the Handmaid’s Tale laws, and war…. it’s reactionary. They are wedges to crack this movement. Please stand strong, and ignore these wedges.
I used to work for a company that had some vacant roles and never filled them. The thing is we actually put out job postings and received tons of resumes and held interviews that I was a part of – We actually needed to fill these roles. But a week later the bosses would decide not to move forward and the position would stay empty. The hiring process and training was too much effort, apparently. Penny wise and pound foolish, I say. I've also found out that a lot of positions I left were never backfilled even though I saw postings for these jobs online. Many positions I've applied for along the years were also never filled, even though HR said they desperately needed them filled when I interviewed with them. I often wonder how many employers bitching about how no one wants to work, or companies/businesses with skeleton crews,…
PANIC RESIGNATION LETTER
Hello everyone. I finally did it. Mid group call meeting I realized I was fed up with this workplace and just….signed out of the meeting. I powered my computer down, deleted all work apps from my phone and realized I'm quitting. I need to go into the office tomorrow to collect my things and give my resignation letter. I will not be giving two weeks notice, it is effective immediately. But I have never written a resignation letter, and never not given notice. This job was doomed to fail from the start, and, being set up for failure, I failed many impossible tasks. It is the very reason the last 2 people in my role have quit. Management takes no notice of this and thinks that I am just underperforming. I am fed up with the role and I believe management is frustrated with me. How to I write a…
So I've been seeing a lot of posts about different ways people are quitting their jobs. I thought I'd share my favorite experience. I worked for a 24 hour burger delivery place while going to cosmetology school. Before I was hired I had made clear to the manager that my school came first. I would only be in school for a year and made it very clear school came first. If they made me choose between my future career and this job, I was obviously picking my career. Management was more than okay with it and loved that I was driven to pursue a career. This whole place was a shit show. Fast forward a couple months and the Assistant manager got fired for smoking meth in a company delivery vehicle and a week or two later the general manager quit because of blatant disrespect from the district manager. So…
All the while each person you interview with hasn't read your resume so you'll have the repeat the same information to all of them. Good luck finding a good candidate who isn't snatched up by another company in the meantime!
I politely let my boss know that if I don’t feel comfortable driving in the weather in the future, I WILL work from home even if it means being formally reprimanded. He said “yeah you probably would be.” Grocery stores were closed. Why tf was our office even open? Let’s see if you’re willing to lose employees over this stupid policy.
At the end of every seven years you must cancel debts. This is how it is to be done: Every creditor shall cancel any loan they have made to a fellow Israelite. They shall not require payment from anyone among their own people, because the Lord’s time for canceling debts has been proclaimed. Deuteronomy 15:1-2 NIV
