“I work at Toyota.”
I visited Staples today to use their self-service printer. One printer was occupied and a woman stood in front of the other, looking into her phone. I was in a wicked hurry, so I said to her, “I'm in a hurry. Could I possibly use the printer first?” She said, “Oh, heck yeah. I work at Toyota. I'm not in any hurry to get back.” I hope she had a leisurely drive back to work.
Joys of getting old!!
A hot take for y’all
I am quitting society! :D
Got a nice RV, got the budget to renovate it, and my family has an extra lot on their property with Septic, Electric, and Water hookups. I'll never have to pay rent again. I'm not going to quit working, but now, all my money is disposable. I'm going to create a good savings and take a looooong sabatical. The property, btw – is 2 acres. I'm going to start a veggie garden and there's a river within a 10 minute walk (with a fish camp). Going to officially leave a “Gone Fishin'” sign as my profile picture when I do eventually quit. But seriously, this is crazy. The amount of stress that's lifted off my shoulders. I work because I “want” to – not because I feel like I have to to survive, and that's done amazing things for my mind.
