I’m a Pre-K teacher. I was outside with the kids and I sat on the bench. I’m 10 weeks pregnant with HG, severe morning sickness. Medication from my doctor isn’t working. I just try to sit to avoid puking for as long as possible. The most I sit at a time is maybe 3-5 minutes? And I’m usually talking with kids then, reapplying sunscreen, and maybe for a few seconds I have a moment to just sit and be quiet to enjoy the air. Teacher came up to me and told me that the director outside was watching me to see if I was sitting or doing my job. I felt horrible then, watched, freaked out I am doing something wrong, and thinking about quitting while also wondering if it’s me who is doing something wrong. I’m always responsive with the kids, it’s not like something happens and I stay…
I'm a 100% service-connected disabled vet. I also receive SSDI. Thank you for all you do each and every day. I appreciate the hours of your life you spent contributing to the big hamster wheel. Whatever your job. Janitor, Fast Food, Walmart, construction, truck driver, electricians, actuary, accountant, lawyer, doctor,. every one who works. You guys get up and give hours of your life each day. Often times more of your life is spent working than actually living your life. Some bust their asses their entire lives and barely (if at all) have just enough money to die on. Your hands are calloused, leathery and tough. your back hurting from the day before. Your muscles are sore and you might have a cold or the flu, but you keep pushing and doing what you feel you must to put food on the table and provide quality of life to you…

Star Trek ruined my life
Ever since i started watching this show I spend my evenings hearing quotes like “the acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in our lives, we work to better ourselves and humanity”, and seeing the amazing possibilities we could achieve if humanity got it’s shit together. then i have to wake up the next day and spend basically all of it make some rich asshole richer. I feel like i’m stuck on Ferenginar.
Protest at their homes.
Just here to say that you most certainly should be protesting outside of politicians houses. These people live in gated communities away from all the noise and consequences of their actions. The only way to get them to understand is to go to their homes and protest. Americans need to start holding these people accountable, shoot in the UK during covid they were litterally throwing their politicians in trash cans. We need to do better.
