Just curious, suppose we al stop working, what then? Or am i missing the whole point of antiwork?
You guys can't even maintain a proper community, no toxicity, no insulting sprees, no rage against your peers. No. You guys prefer to insult each other. That is what the bourgeois wants and that is what we are doing, fighting against one another. You guys try to one up everyone that posts or doesn't share your ideas. Shame on anyone who says they support antiwork when they can't even tolerate the community. Shame! We are not United, we are just enraged. I miss the old antiwork where everyone was polite and we shared a singular ideology.
Welp, at least they’re honest!
NLRB: Concerted activity
“You have the right to act with co-workers to address work-related issues in many ways. Examples include: talking with one or more co-workers about your wages and benefits or other working conditions, circulating a petition asking for better hours, participating in a concerted refusal to work in unsafe conditions, openly talking about your pay and benefits, and joining with co-workers to talk directly to your employer, to a government agency, or to the media about problems in your workplace. Your employer cannot discharge, discipline, or threaten you for, or coercively question you about, this “protected concerted” activity. A single employee may also engage in protected concerted activity if he or she is acting on the authority of other employees, bringing group complaints to the employer's attention, trying to induce group action, or seeking to prepare for group action. However, you can lose protection by saying or doing something egregiously offensive…
now to be completely transparent, my electricians and plumbers make a little more than my painters and carpenters, because they went to school and have the proper qualifications for a specific skill set, but everyone knows this, i encourage my employees to discuss wages with each other and come to me if they believe they’re being treated/paid unfairly. Any of my employees are welcome to go to school on my dime to learn a trade and get certified, i make the same hourly wage as all my employees and almost 88% of our profit goes directly back into supplies, paying them, making sure they have gas money regularly, and getting them things like lunch, drinks etc when i can. i’d like to hear everyone’s thoughts on this.
https://youtu.be/gBX6CNfEkk4 The bot flagged it as spam so i am reposting it with comentary and text. But basically you can get sued for trying to start a garden and make your own farm due to “intellectual property patents” I was watching the amazon series Upload, and it really hit home with a short bit about home gardening and needing a serial number toneven get the seeds to grow. We are almost litterally walking into an unstable comercialist nightmare realm.
Have it our way (Kalamazoo, MI)
All we have worked hard to gain this past year could be uprooted by the potential oncoming recession, if companies start laying off mass employees, causing another downturn in desperation. I am not a career economist, but I do like to study economic trends in my spare time. All signs point to a 1970's style Stagflation-based recession potentially knocking on our door. In the 70's, the Govt's solution to fight the stagflation after raising interest rates was to deregulate the private industries, giving them even more power over the workforce to increase production in a time when demand was lowered due to rise of interest rates. (This was to give the market a chance to catch up with supply/demand). The second scapegoat was more manufacturing overseas to lower production costs, thus lowering inflation. Guess who was hit the hardest at this time? Labor unions, completely annihilated as both the Govt…
