Selling things that do not exists
90% of my problems at work go back to the point that someone sells something that does not exist yet, especially when developing software. “The customer wants X this thing done, we promised them 2 weeks.” No, this needs like a month to six weeks… People are selling new features and setting a timeline without asking first what is possible. I am just saying no every time they ask if this is possible.

I wanted somewhere to post my review of Advance Auto Parts that got rejected by Indeed: Well, what can I say? I worked here for almost 5 years. I went through 4 different managers. The first manager actually cared for his employees but, he left after Advance wouldn't make him a regional manager like they said they would. I think the reason I lasted so long was because for most of it I was doing the hub run and was out of the store. They got rid of that position and hired a contractor to do the work. I was okay with that they let me be a delivery driver. All was good until they promoted the last guy and made him manager. I will say this your experience here will depend on who you have for a manager. You may get a good manager for a little while but…
