Recession?? Layoffs??
With all this recession talk and the loom & gloom of layoffs that become attached to the term, do you think antiwork movement will be affected? Thoughts?
I'm finna be 22 and jobless for almost a year but I'm going to spend the entire day doing what I want and happily enjoying my existence any ideas on what I should do for my birthday they might help
I’m copy and pasting the text I want to send to my superintendent over the matter. I’m trying to be firm but also not come across as angry (even though at this point I’m getting pissed over some thing so dumb). Text is as follows (will include more details after) and will follow up in person tomorrow: Hey “Super”, I’m reaching out to you because I’m missing a half hour of overtime from the 25th of March. I’ve reached out to “foreman”, “general foreman”, and “payroll” each week it has been missing. As far as I know “general foreman” had talked to “payroll” last week and should have been included in last week’s check. I’ve sent numerous emails and texts, had phone conversations, and talked to “payroll” in person on the 14th of April. As of this week it still hasn’t been included on my check. I’m really sorry that…
Thoughts on LinkedIn?
I have been encouraged by past employers to use LinkedIn. After spending time on this sub I feel it could cause more harm then good. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts.
My manager is the reason I'm looking for new work. She has been awful for a year and I can't take it anymore. I started applying elsewhere and finally got an interview. I'm now in the references stage. I haven't told my manager or the administration yet because I don't know if I'll even get the job, and I don't want to set myself up for failure at my current job. Is it okay if I wait to hear back from the second job to see if I get it before I tell anyone?
