So, i have to work overnight Monday night and Tuesday night. So, last Thursday my manager called me into the office and told me that i was written up for “not doing what im supposed to” keep in mind that i have to clean the EVERY SQUARE INCH OF THIS STUPID STORE!!!! On top of that i was to end the day and get breakfast ready and cook breakfast. So just because I miss ONE FUCKING SPOT i get written up. And she said if it happens again i will be fired. She also told me that we get random cleanliness tests and the test MUST BE 100% OR ELSE
Is financial security even real?
I feel like no matter how hard I work there's always some other financial problem that rears its head. I don't think I'm ever going to be able to just live my life. How do people do this?
I'm currently doing an internship as a part of my education and woke up today with a terrible migraine. I have a hard time making my own decisions so I asked my mom if she thought I should call in sick and she said no… Even though I can barely walk right now AND I'm not even going to get employed though this internship! (Also on top of everything I live in a country where you don't even have a limited amount of sick days if you're employed…) I feel like this is such an incredibly toxic way of looking at things. Why would I ever ever ever prioritize work over my own well being? We truly live in a dystopia…

I’m planning to ask for a 25-50% raise
I’ve been at my current job for 9 months now. My job is a very niche job that requires a college education but also requires hard physical work, a cdl, and lots of travel. I accepted it because I graduated right before the pandemic and desperately needed something to get some type of experience. My starting wage was $20/hr with scheduled raises based on experience and competency and getting my cdl. I have not gotten my cdl yet but likely will shortly. I work 60+ hours a week, regularly spend 2-3 nights per week in a hotel on average, and have also put up with many safety violations that I’m working on forcing my boss to address. Since getting hired, all of my coworkers have quit for better opportunities, my boss got promoted and replaced with the biggest idiot ever created. My job has an extremely high turnover rate and…
