So my job (a private school) is having an open house this week, after school hours. They required salaried staff to attend but asked all hourly staff to volunteer to work it, unpaid. No one volunteered, so they are now offering overtime pay and are providing dinner. Most of our hourly staff are young. They work hard, but they demand better of their employer and I am here for it.
I find myself growing more and more angry by the day. I don't enjoy my job at all, they hired a new manager over my department and the dude is a real asshat, expecting more and more than the last manager. On top of that my home life is in shambles. My wife does a home bakery business which she always wants help with when I'm not at work. My step daughter, her husband and 2 kids moved back into our house and frankly her kids are whiny and annoying they're 2 and 3, she's lazy and her husband is a gaslighting passive aggressive dick. My step son is 19 still here and he just pushes buttons… It's awesome when I feel like I have something to do 7 days a week 14 hours a day as I eat a ham sandwich for lunch..meanwhile my step daughters husband is eating…
If I pass the background check and have a good resume why the hell does it matter? Obviously I wasn't working….that's the explanation. And y'all are fucked up if you think I'm not gonna lie about the real reason.
