Capitalism is way too profitable…. Imagine if all these celebs took a pay cut, imagine if an nhl player only made 150-200k/ year…. Tickets would probably go from 200$ down to 30$ … why do we worship all these celebrities when they are part of the reason everything is so expensive? You guys are paying for their lavish lifestyles when we can hardly afford our own…. Entertainment has gotten way to expensive. Tv, movies, all this crap is way over priced. Oil companies are way over priced, maybe they should all be capped in just how much profit they can make. we need to cut out the big bills if we want to have a life for the middle class! It’s garbage. Stop supporting this crap. Can anyone reword what I’ve said so it is more proper?
gaslit by upper management
This happened over a year ago. I still work at the job. Simply because I enjoy my coworkers, and some of my supervisors. So. One day it work we were getting brought in to discuss about our raises. When I got in. I was told I was getting a decent raise. I was happy about that. After the meeting, I had found out that temps were getting paid over a dollar more. I was pissed, my supervisor was pissed. She actually went and raised hell about it. I was then called back into the upper management people where they told me they had no idea why the employees were discussing payrates. They also told me, that before I even was hired on. One of the upper management people didn't want to even hire me on. They then also told me that I had been leaving work early quite frequently and…

First job out of the Military
Been in the air force for about 10 year forced retirement due to medical issues. So I got a job like they tell me to. I was getting paid 20 bucks as hour to machine parts. I though it was on the lower side but I needed something. I look on indeed and entry level is paying 28 an hour. I bring it up to hr, they tell me to be thankful I get paid that much and the pay will get better once I prototyped and manufacture a test gun so they could sell it to a large firearm dealer. Once hr (owners daughter) said be thankful they pay me that much. I just said I will not be returning. I have received phone calls and texts asking to come back. How have you guys been dealing with this for so long it’s terrible working for a larger mom…
no more tip jar
i work at a coffee shop and we recently switched parent companies, and the company made us get rid of our tip jar. they say because they raised our wages we don’t need a tip jar. we now have to tell our customers that we cannot take the tips that they WANT to give to us. the company doesn’t have to pay taxes on the tips, they are always evenly distributed, and it’s almost never more than a few bucks anyway, so WHY did they make us get rid of it?? Absolute pieces of shit running these companies.
They went on and on about how they feel proud about their work moral in other words always goving 110% and never taking sick days even when you are sick. I said I work so I can afford to do stuff during my free time, I do not work to provide anything for my boss/company, I don't give a shit about my workplace, its just a source of money and I will do what is asked of me and nothing more. They didn't like that response one bit. They went all like ” your boss will see that you aren't trying your hardest ” But then I know that every year when we discuss our wages they have a set amount to give out to all of us and a minimum that everyone is getting and the remaining is given out depending on you contributed the most but the thing…
