What’s the title rates. Limiting the information so I don’t get found out. In my company’s quarterly meeting, the safety manager bragged that the last OSHA recordable incident was in August of last year. I found that strange considering I got injured a few months after that, and I had to go through Workmen’s Comp., go see a doctor and get weight restrictions. I sent a letter to OSHA to see if my case ever got reported, and I got a response back saying that they don’t investigate if it’s been more than six months. What the hell??!! I guess they’re okay with the company not being honest in their injury reporting…
Screwed over
The company my husband worked for was taken over. They assured everyone, that all was going to be fine and nothing would change. Months later the whole facility was shut down and everyone was laid off. They assured people, in the lay off letter, that everyone would receive payment for several pay cycles after lay off. The people, who live out of town did not receive the letter. We kept getting told the situation would be handled. Now, here we are, my husbands not received the promised pay and we’ve bills. We’re stuck between a rock and starvation. The “big wigs” are fine, they are cozy and well fed while people like our little family are wondering how we’re going to make it through this. I’m scared, angry, and at a loss. We’ve been scrambling, looking for jobs, to no avail. I will never understand how the rich can sleep…
Not you too, Santa!
Have an interview booked but
They want it f2f and a campaign strategy presentation is required in the final stage. They hate video interviews and believe Covid is over now. I kinda don't like it already because it tells me they are not forward thinking. Should I bother with it or save time and energy for another opportunity? Thanks!
over worked and hostile boss
I am six months into a job, basically my first job that can get me some experience, so I can eventually move up a little I guess. The company's a startup and took off over the pandemic. When I was hired I had a boss and a co worker who I was working closely with. From the day I joined, i was promised a promotion along with my co worker. Then, co worker got promoted to boss's position within 15 days of when I was hired. My promotion was supposed to be 3 months into the job, they changed their mind a day before It was supposed to happen. Reason – ' they have promoted people too quickly in the past and dont have a need for that role at the moment'. Fine. I Understood. My co worker who is my boss now has me on my toes all the…
Old Job Story
I used to work at a fairly small movie-theater-restaurant (4 locations in4 states), and I was a food runner, meaning I brought food to customers and cleaned theaters. Our theater turnaround was too slow, so corporate came out to find the problem. One of the things they did at the mandatory meeting was play the song “Happy” over and over until everyone would sing and “clap along”. They also showed a video of another location cleaning a theater and asked why we were slower. We told them that we’ve never had the managers help like in the video and if we had that many runners in one theater then there wouldn’t be any left to bring food to the other theaters. They fixed these issues for a couple of days, and then went back home. It lasted two days until we were back to normal. For thanksgiving and Christmas, they…
