I know I started working less than a year ago, but I can't stand it. I'm on my 2nd job now within the same cooperation. (I now work in custom service instead of dish washing). I'm a transgender ftm person whose already out to my workplace, yet has been refused to at least get my badge name changed. (they've allowed others who haven't legally gotten their name changed to have their badge name changed). But this isn't about that. This is about the insane amount of creepy people. I know there's thousands of creeps around, they're everywhere. Just why would an 80 y/o dude hit on an 18 y/o gas station employee. I've counted 23 guys who have talked about fucking me, have asked for my personal info so they could “do something fun”. Even some customers who have found my social medias and ask me to send them nudes.…
I have been more than kind.
I put in my two weeks and I feel free, I feel like the world is lifted off of my shoulders. But the manager keeps guilt trippin. They asked me to stay till April 1st to help the team out and give them time to sort things out which includes training people to fill my spot. I agreed to stay extra 1 week. But the manager keeps sending stuff life oh bitter sweet, I just removed you from the meeting going forward or things like I didn't tell anyone yet except my immediate boss. I was like tell whoever you wanted to tell, I'm not retrieving the quit letter! The job has done nothing but lowered my IQ They talk to everyone like school kids. And I hated the 1 on 1 meetings. I'm out!
Can anyone find the actual video for me?
I had caught COVID at work (gas station) the same day as another co-worker. I was out of work for a month because I tested positive 12 days into quarantine. So I had to quarantine again. I didn't have sick time, though got a tiny bit of temporary disability pay($500 woo-hoo /s) Though our companies workers compensation insurance DENIED both my co workers and my claim. Even though in Oregon you can most DEFINITELY apply for workers comp for catching Covid. Not to mention we caught it the same night, had symptoms the same day, etc,.. So you know what I'm doing to make up for the almost full month of pay? Started taking 80+ massive black trash bags, stacks and stacks of paper towels. (I work over nights with one other person, so no one would notice) Also my girlfriend works at a hotel. She brings home dozens of…

New Manager Barks…
My new manager is a twat. She's been super rude to several people, that I have witnessed before. We work in property management, so she's mostly rude to trades people. She is snippy and gets really aggressive. Like you feel like you need to walk on eggshells around a bully. She has spoken to me in this way several times now and I mostly brushed it off, but today it really crossed me. It feels bordering on abusive. It's basically like she's overwhelmed with all the work that is on her plate and takes out on others. She's stressing me out! I'm literally having conversations in my head about telling her to fuck right off. (I'm worried I will actually do it!!) I don't want to lose the job but don't know how to respond to her…
Work Reform Discussion
I just wanted to throw this out there for discussion, but with the increase in petroleum prices there's definitely some degree of leverage in the workers' court to both demand higher wages (because why work minimum wage when eoughly HALF/or more of your hourly rate without taxes equals the cost of a single gallon of petrol; that's literally a full shift if you fill-up twice a week especiallyonce taxes are factored in) AND to continue to demand for work at home options.
When the pandemic hit, the University my mother worked for started to cut expenses. They cut the Volleyball team, The entire department of Education, and many faculty members. My mom was part of the Rhetoric and Composition faculty. Before the cuts, there were 7 faculty members. My mom is a fucking phenomenal Professor. She took on other peoples' classes if they were on maternity leave, she ran the student lead Academic Journal (not by choice) for years which caused her to work 70-hour weeks sometimes, she wrote and developed several classes, including a core class which only she knew how to teach, and she was widely loved by the staff. She lost her job because she doesn't have a PhD. She only has a master's degree. I know it is common in academia for those with master's degrees to lose their jobs in the first rounds of budget cuts, but…
