When I first started my job I added most coworkers to LinkedIn out of necessity (my job title practically requires it). Over time, one coworker became crazy and is trying to make my life hell. Now, I noticed she’s adding people from my personal life on LinkedIn! I want to block her so bad but if I do my boss will probably be upset. He already suspects we don’t get along and isn’t happy about it. So I keep her on it so I basically don’t get fired. But I don’t know how to protect myself because she’s even adding my best friends husband and people related to my side business which disturbs me. Help! What do I do?! PS obviously I’m looking for another job. I need to keep the peace until I leave.

So I'm going to get a drink from the water fountain towards the end of my shift, and behind it is stuff outside the nurse's office listing support for quitting smoking. There is apparently a work-approved program where I could receive over the phone counseling for 5 weeks or more to help me quit smoking. This makes sense because our job pays for our insurance directly. They actually charge us a fine if we are smokers. However beside it is a sheet for mental health awareness. I noticed that all of the checklist, the “emotional thermometer” they listed, are all things that affect our ability as a worker, but not how our job affects us. I also noticed all of the solutions to emotional distress where things that tend to be difficult when working the job. Like getting adequate rest or eating well when we work 12 hour night shifts…

So I'm a lurker to this sub but I've enjoyed all the tips and tricks for getting more from our jobs. Today I got a new job. I used some of the strategies I've seen to get a pay rise (about 25%) and some additional benefits. Along with negotiation strategies I also learnt interview strats which I think pushed me over the line. I have some concerns as this is my first major job change but I'm excited to see where this takes me. Thank you to everyone who posts up I really appreciate it

A month ago I quit my job of 3 years, I couldn't take it anymore I was waking up going to work to do the same exhausting work then come home to fall asleep right away and repeat. This process was slowly driving me insane, my mood was horrible I was lashing out to everyone every chance I could and I regularly thought about suicide though out every day I worked. I've saved up $5000 and decided I was going to quit and live with my parents for how ever long it took me to feel better, but unknowingly this was the worst decision of my life. I quit, didn't show up and didn't tell anyone, couldn't give a fuck to but on that same day my parents instantly told me I should be looking for a new job, and now for the past month everyday I get harassed about…
