Managers chose the side of the corporations. They're the one's who enforce the bullshit policies we all hate. They're the one's we have to ask for raises but they can't give us a livable wage. They always come down on the side of the business they work for and act like their hands are tied when you ask them for something. They're the one's who write us up when our productivity is low because we're too sick or soar to move at break neck speed. They write us up for calling off sick. They write us up for calling off for family emergencies and personal reasons. They write us up for not letting people use us as a doormat because the “customer is always right.” Sometimes they write us up just to write us up. They're the one's who fire us and put us in situations where we can't collect…
The military (US)
I’m currently in the military. Separating, but unfortunately still in as of now. While I’m thankful for the benefits I’ll have getting out, being in has been a major shit show. Nobody should wake up nervous to go to work, Get counseling for not answering phones on off days or messing up in any way they don’t see fit to them ( and actually lose pay over it or be confined in a windowless room away from family for the littlest things ), having toxic ass higher leadership put on a show for the press and public that they care about mental health but when there’s 10 suicides on ONE ship In 10 months, those same higher ups visit the ship and tell the enlisted to lower their standards and suck it up ( look up the ship George Washington to know the full story ). The military is in…
I Am The Problem
This morning, i woke up with just horrid stomach pains. I ate some fish last night while the wife an i were out, and lets just say it has not cooperated with me. So being an American with 2 sick days a year (okay exaggerating, i get more, but my last job was literally 2, and i was managing an engineering team), i messaged my boss saying that i needed to take the rest of the day off. I got an hour into the day and im nearly curled up in a ball while WFH. So as im laying here, i remember that i have a meeting today on site, and im covering it for him. Its so engrained in my tiny little brain that this shit means something so i deleted the messages i sent (we use teams) and am currently getting dressed to go run this damn meeting…
TV used to be free
TV was free because we had to endure advertisements. The advertisers would pay the networks to be on the air when all of a sudden someone got greedy and decided they wanted MORE MONEY! Invent the cable box and charge everybody now that we have hooked them with our mind numbing mesmerizing television. Every living room in America glowed of the blue light of the squak box.
Employees are like condoms…
Corporate executives use us to fuck people. We are there so they may remain unsullied by their own vile actions. Then, when we are full of their nasty spunk, they just throw us away and pull out another one… Sorry for being a downer. Happy Monday, Everybody! 😉
I am sorry for the grammar, English it's not my first language. So today I was in the car and the commentators were talking about some famous people here in Italy who own restaurants and how they were having a bad time with young employees. They said that we don't want to make sacrifice and how we are entitled. They proceeded to talk about 3 different restaurants that said those things and it had a massive backslash on them, they were shit-stormed on Facebook and on the reviews. Damn I was grinning hard hearing this since I worked too in this industry. I sacrificed 7 years of my youth (15-22) with a ridiculous pay than decided I had to go back to study so I could get life a little easier. I am really happy that gen Z and millennials don't want to be slaves anymore. Keep it up guys…
