Just left JCPenney and never going back!

I just left this shithole after buying my daughter a dress for her school dance next week. About 30 minutes of not being able to find this dress, an employee asked me if I needed help. She was very nice and we found the dress. Very talkative, attentive, and they were really busy. But to her, I was the only person in the store. She tells me to follow her to the register to ring me up. Then everything changed… She asks me if I want to apply for such and such card and save 35% or something and I said no. Then she takes this pamphlet out and starts reading and showing it to me. Again, I said no. She tries another tactic and I have to very rudely cut her off and say NO, please let me pay so I can leave! Then silence. It got a little…

What kind of life?

I do see a lot of ppl saying that work life is draining and they want something else. They don’t want to have to work forever or in their job, or for someone else. I’m curious to know what kind of life people want outside of what they currently have or what would make it more fulfilling or purposeful to you.

Is every video game about managing a city, a country, a society or whatever related to people, wrong?

I've played a tons of game about managing a city, an empire or whatever, here's a few; Cities Skylines Every Civilization game Stellaris RimWorld Europa Universalis 4 Victoria 2 Crusader Kings 3 Banished As I play a game of RimWorld for example, I'll start producing more and more resources, allowing me to reduce the amount of work a single 'human' as to do, increasing productivity allows me to a point, to have everyone enjoy recreational activity almost 24h/7 When society increase productivity, the amount of work doesn't change, the amount of luxury and recreation people can afford has also stagnated for years So why is that? Why isn't it only logical for our government, that if we find a way to increase profits and productivity, people should have more money and more free time?
