in order to get a job you have to do 30 minutes of paper work, drive to the place if you get the interview, be early to said interview, dress nicely, be proper and appropriate, answer their questions perfectly and maybe get the job?? why do the people conducting the interview get send a computer automated email saying you got an interview, show up fucking late, dressed shabby and decide if you get the job? why should i prove myself to them if they won’t put in the effort to at least be on time? they want someone professional but are never that way themselves.
It’s a major red flag when you join a team and seven people leave. This is what happened at my current government position. I work with computer servers and have notice the unprofessional way this tech team acts towards one another. I had a feeling I should have left when the entire hiring team quit. Then the two top employees left. Then two more second to the top employees left. And to make matters worst, the HR rep left and was the only one who was fair to everyone. My job is stressful and my coworker does nothing each weekend shift. We are getting paid good money for him to do nothing while everyone else carries the burden of the missing staff and increased work load. The manager will always confide in me and tell me how hard it is to be a leader. Then they will do something to…

Internet installer work on holidays
I have a family member that's very ill and hasn't paid the internet bill in months. I called up the company today and they informed me that after a couple of months the company cuts the line so along with payment an installation visit would be required to restore service. They can come out on Easter Sunday?” CSR: “(Laughs) Oh yes, they work on Easter Sunday, most other holidays too!” Me: “Well I do really need the service restored. I guess that's fine.” CSR: “Also, our guys use their own phones so if you see a strange number during the installation window it's probably your installer.” Me: “Looks like capitalism actually worked out for me for once.” Before everyone piles on and says I'm a shit human etc, the house is mostly in…
I’m an environmental chemist at an international corp here in the US. I busted my ass, went above and beyond, did my superiors job for them and lifted others up around me. I was asked to train new employees, often time higher ranking then myself. I thought for sure my managers would recognize this and promote me to atleast an equal rank of those I was training(two promotion levels higher). Review time came around and I received an 98.5/100. I was very proud. My manager gave me a single promotion and a 10% raise. I understand this is not a normal raise, but when you make 40k, going to 44k doesn’t really excite me. So I decided to look else where and I have landed a sales job with an equal base salary and commissions. But I’m unsure when to put my 2 weeks in. We have had a week…
