My working hours are 9am-5pm
I signed out of teams at 5:05pm. Manager sends a message asking for data location, I quickly sign back in just to send him the locations. While doing so the Managing Director calls me multiple time to get me to a join a meeting with him and my manager without any prior notice. I declined saying “I cannot join the meeting as I have prior commitments outside of work”. Manager sends me a message saying we have to get aligned for a meeting tomorrow with the managing director.
I live in indiana and was told that my household's monthly income cannot exceed 3,800 otherwise I'm disqualified. I've been unemployed for awhile now and was finally getting my medication and dental work done bc it was all paid for. My dad is retired but still getting income, my mom works, my younger brother just got a job, my older brother is currently unemployed and my uncle is recovering from a botched surgery but will be back to work within a month or so. Even if I stayed not working, I wouldn't qualify anymore soon. I had an interview today and was told that I could get more hourly (lol, 14 an hour MAX) if I didn't need insurance so “the owner wouldn't have to pay into it”. I'm so fucking done with all of this shit. I'm so close to driving to a warm state to be homeless. Also…
I noticed that said experts are not actually in the working class themselves…. https://grow.acorns.com/the-difference-between-working-class-and-middle-class/
I just got food poisoning from Whataburger. We cure hangovers with Whataburger down here. If you don’t have a taco truck open that late, Whataburger has your back. Getting food poisoning from Whataburger is like getting diarrhea from Pepto. Yes, I can make those biscuits myself. Yes, my burgers are better. Of course we have a bottle of spicy ketchup in the house. That’s not the point. If my happy ass hands over money to you for food, there are supposed to be things in place to keep you from giving me something that is going to make me sick. And I don’t blame the workers. Not one bit. This is a small town with very few 24 hour places. It’s a pit stop between Houston and Deliverance the 4D experience. And we’re stoners. We see each other a lot. They would not sit there and be like, “Yo, those…
Amazon dsp driver
So I drive for Amazon basically. The company I work for, been about a year a so now, and I make ot every week. Recently find out this company gets a much as half a mill a month, with the heaviest routes paying 2500 a day, per route. Bergen 500 and 2500 per route, 7 days a week. We only technically get now 20 routes, but in reality it's 30, with 10 of them being broken up and shared with the rest. That reduces my boss' payroll costs, while also increasing the work load for whomever is left. I'm always getting 300-400+ packages, near 200 stops. Almost never a rescue. And I make 10+ hours a day. But now Amazon thinks that's a problem. Or my job thinks it's a problem. So now I'm just working 3 days a week, not 4. My full time status is looking like part…
So I took up this job at Lowes for the summer during my senior year of high school. I loaded mulch for people during the summer and was supposed to get my forklift license to allow me to do more than just load mulch and stand around but management wasn’t the best and we’ll definitely be getting back to that. So after working there for a few months during the summer and the mulch and gardening season starting to slow down I was forced to just do basic stocking in the outdoors area as that was still my domain, anyways the specific day/ days I wanna talk about are the days that lead up to me ghosting them. Now first off I wanna say I obviously didn’t care for this job, Id call off frequently or no call no show if I didn’t feel like going in because I wasn’t…
