Hey Canadians, there’s a framework bill (just outlines the pros and cons of a UBI and breaks down the budget for this) for Universal Basic Income for all Canadians. It has a base $500 (for all) and is afterwards variable based on income. The finances/taxation to achieve this are pretty sound in-fact it’ll actually stimulate and improve the economy – without taxing your average Canadian. If this frame work bill passes and displays value to the Senate of Canada we can see greater change.
