Get fucked if you think I am spending 30 minutes creating an account and filling out the same information that you can find on my damn resume for your job posting. I do not owe you anything or will not delegate any of my time to your company until you review my resume and show interest. Its simple, open your email, open my attachment, and review my resume. Then if you are interested you can reach out to me and I will delegate whatever time is required for further interviewing processes. Until my resume is reviewed, you will get no time out of me. My last job, before I left to be a full time stay at home dad, was super toxic. There was a very Us vs Them mentality when it came to management vs employees. Our Supervisor, Sally, was absolutely terrible. She was promoted from within and called the Queen of Eligibility, mostly because she knew how to play the game, since she knew very little about the actual work. She had no management skills to speak of and took out frustrations on anyone around her, except her chosen few. I started in the department, given generic “new hire” training I didn't need because I had already been with the company for years. I work a desk job pushing paperwork around at a highly successful small business(around 35 employees, 5M/year gross). When I started the next youngest guy in the company was 20 years older than I and as a result almost everything was done using actual pen and paper instead of digital documents. Over the last 5 years I have converted everything to digital(PDF and Excel) and now use a scripting language called AutoHotKey to automate all of that digital work. When I say automate I mean the script scans and downloads my email for the day, reads the digital PDF invoices and automatically enters them into our system 100% without my intervention. If it finds a problem with the invoice(wrong PO number for example) it attaches an error msg to the end of the file and automatically emails it to the project manager for review. By this I mean my boss wanted me and my coworkers to create a form call our clients and ask if they are registered to vote, if they had voted in the last election, and their political preference. He insisted we get this done ASAP as our the federal department who oversees us was asking for this information. I spoke to my friend who was a poll worker and asked if this was even legal to do to which she responded with NO. Fast forward to today boss calls a meeting and ask on the status of the list. I straight up tell him that what hes asking is against HIPPA and that it might even be illegal to do. The company has had zero respect for my time from square one. Late to the interview. Wrong address for job training in the email. Horrible miscommunications on starting date/time. Now we're late to the training. I showed up 15 minutes early and its a 90 miles round trip nearly. Hard to have respect for employers that don't respect my time as an employee. We'll see if they show up at all at this point.
