There’s no room for debate or critical thinking, just mindless assumptions and the censorship of whatever opinion you don’t like. Not all republicans are nazis and not all democrats are communists. If you believe either of these things you are apart of the problem.
Pro Work Arguments Analogy
Imagine a bunch of slaves have been freed and instead of rejoicing at his freedom one of the older slaves looks at the younger one celebrating his freedom and instead of celebrating along side or telling him how good it is he won't have to be a slave he wines and shames the younger man for not wanting to be a slave his whole life.

Public sector job rant
To start with I have a degree in parks and recreation have been doing this line of work since I was in high school and have worked since I graduated in May of 2020. Currently I work for one of the largest municipalities in my state makeing about 30k a year in the parks department. Apparently I am still under qualified for a 40k a year job through the same city that I am currently working at. The reasoning was “we are looking for someone with more supervisory experience and more experience running special events”. I have been a supervisor for every job I have had since leavring school and there has been no special events happening for the past 2 years almost. I'm at a point of just giving up on applying because it's just draining to keep getting rejected for jobs I should be over qualified for. You…
Wipes in the bathroom
I’m a male. i don’t shave anywhere I don’t need to. for this reason wipes are superbly important to my bathroom ritual. i have always wondered why huge cooperations(Walmart, target) don’t have wipes in their employee bathrooms. if you need to wipe with wipes, using this sandpaper and only the sandpaper they put in the toilet paper dispensers makes working extremely hard bc of uncomfortablility. am I being dramatic here? or am I onto something
I've had many jobs, driver jobs, service jobs, call center jobs, but mostly factory and warehouse labor jobs. It won't be easy increasing the wages but its not impossible, the people above us are just very greedy and the semantics of business work better on a case by case basis. But the application and commitments to the job force can easily change. Jobs want people top be committed and go through all these application processes but theres better ways. For example Temp Services. Many look down on temporary or staffing services and agencies because of the model that they take a piece of you pay and you get less than the regularly hired person or that and the fact that most usually do labor jobs in factories, but that's not always the case. I've worked for several and have been hired through company, i prefer the temp service one. Most…
I work in financial services administration (in pensions in the UK) and have been with 1 employer for nearly 11 years. I've got another job offer and handed in my notice, and will be finishing with my employer in March. I'm leaving in short for all the usual reasons, low pay, high workload, understaffing, lack of opportunity for progression. 8 team members, out of what needs to be a team of 12, including me have resigned in 10 months, so things are clearly not all well and changes are needed. The thing is, I've not really gone in to great detail or elaborated on these reasons I'm leaving, beyond the baseline of what I've written here, and I do kind of want to, having only had 2 short conversations with 2 members of the HR team. I want to force accountability for the issues that have led to why I…

I am in a good position and I earn way more then normal (in germany). I get 80k per year and now my pair programmer partner too. We work in this company for around 4 years and the job we do normally gets paid 65k. But we are special. Both forgneirs, and both have special add's on… we are both special.. There was a change of commands in our company, we got sold to a big very old media company. and a lot of people who were in charge quit. Very important programmers quited… but we didnt care for we got paid still more then we would get paid anywhere else in germany… After years and years (4)of trying to get a better pay, we now know the results. My pair programmer partner now gets the same money as I do, which I think is great and I am really…
Note: This is a throwaway account. I posted this awhile back but it was deleted since my account is too new. Hopefully nothing in this violates the sub's rule. If there is any, mods, please contact me and let me know so I can rectify those mistakes I will redact any mention of relationships, names, or other identifiable info here, except for the company's name itself because name and shame should be more common around here. This is a small, independently-owned American company, in Southern California So I went and visited someone I knew about three weeks ago and we went out for a drink, let's call him “Norman”. Norman is a Vietnamese-American man, around 60-ish. Norman works for a CNC machine shop vendor that specializes in making small parts for equipment/fixtures/etc. in engineering. After a few drinks, he began to rant about his job, to…
