I have a family dinner that I only just recently heard about, I called in for work 3 hours before my shift letting them know and I get told “do you think that's an acceptable reason to call off a shift on the day?” Like dude, yes I do think it's an acceptable reason and when you advertise the “at least two hours” method, I expect you to follow through with it and not try to guilt trip me. 🙂 Not to mention that I'm taking a shift on a Saturday even though I wasn't previously working that shift, so basically, it's just a fair trade of hours/inconvenience.
The other day, I was looking over my checking account at this bank. We will call it Cha-cha. The last few months, without any warning or to my knowledge, they were charging me $12 a month because I did not meet some fairly stringent requirements, like setting up direct deposit, having $1,500 or more at every second, or having more than $2,500. Leeching away like a parasite. Keep in mind that I have two other checking accounts at two different banks with no fees whatsoever. I first went to a bank teller, who was able to refund only one month out of so many. Very forgiving, huh? All of this upset me greatly, and I scheduled an appointment with a banker (because the bank made it very hard to close out an account any other way). I told the banker that I shouldn't be paying a subscription fee of $144…
Yeah, I’m a depressed college student working way too much as a bartender at a shitty country club. My parents are getting divorced and I’m in the middle of it. Would you like me to continue? Assholes
Why do people glorify billionaires so?
dyed Hair at Work and Religion
So, I work at an Orange themed Chain Hardware Store and recently dyed my hair pink only to discover that your manager can tell you they don't like it and that you have to dye it back to a natural colour. The policy states that associates can't dye their hair non natural colours, which is a rule that is enforced at the discretion of the manager. A coworker who heard about this suggested that I tell them that my hair being dyed is part of my religion (which is technically true). Can I tell them that and get out of being fired for not changing my hair colour back to a natural shade?
