Yeah, I’m a depressed college student working way too much as a bartender at a shitty country club. My parents are getting divorced and I’m in the middle of it. Would you like me to continue? Assholes

dyed Hair at Work and Religion
So, I work at an Orange themed Chain Hardware Store and recently dyed my hair pink only to discover that your manager can tell you they don't like it and that you have to dye it back to a natural colour. The policy states that associates can't dye their hair non natural colours, which is a rule that is enforced at the discretion of the manager. A coworker who heard about this suggested that I tell them that my hair being dyed is part of my religion (which is technically true). Can I tell them that and get out of being fired for not changing my hair colour back to a natural shade?
Basically paying to apply for a job
I'm looking for a social work job, and most of the positions out there require a current first aid and CPR certificate before starting the job. I don't have a problem with getting these certificates, I've had them before, but they're fucking expensive, and I'm unemployed. Like, do I pay for the certificate so I can apply for a job I might not get, or do I buy food this week? Companies should include shit like this in their training once you've got the job, especially for training that need to be kept current and isn't just one and done. Job hunting is expensive enough without adding to it.
Day off of work for losing pet?
Basically the title, but I should elaborate. My father and I had to put down our beloved girl, Mimi, today after the vet discovered end-stage kidney disease and end-stage Lyme disease. We still have Milo (her brother). Should I take a day off work to mourn Mimi’s passing or should I go to work?
