I used to work with a woman who was married to a psychologist/ therapist (not really sure what his actual credentials were). She started implementing “team building” exercises with the bosses approval. One game we played was this “jellybean game”. You pick a color and it’s kind of supposed to be a personality test. There was some one line half assed praise for everyone, that was it. When I looked it up online, it made me sound like a problem because of the jellybean color I picked! I don’t like citrus candy, I hate licorice, god knows what the white one is going to be, and the green could be lime(yuk) or green apple (yum),but do I take the risk? I picked red. How does this have F$&$-All to do with my personality? It’s a jellybean! I do feel it was actually used against me. What’s with these mind games?…

I wanted some advice. Dont know if this is the right place to post. I had an argument with my boss. He has forced me to resign saying he won't sign me off onto the next part of my training and if I hand in my resignation he'll pay me till August. There is no evidence I'm not hitting targets and the company providing my training will confront him about the workplace bullying once I have “resigned “. They are giving me a new workplace to continue my training in September. In the letter confirming the pay till August from my boss it says I cannot take on anymore paid employment between now and August. My question is if I got a job just to fill my time like as a delivery driver or something would he ever know? Or is it not worth the risk?

Not questioning your desire or scorning it. Just curious as to others reasons for wanting kids. I asked others why they didn’t want kids and I’m curious as to those who lean towards wanting kids currently?

So i work in somewhat niche field, i keep getting offers from different recruiters, and decided that i just flat out tell them my requirements prior to any interviews instead of accepting the interview going thru their hoops and getting an offer way lower then i am currently getting. Thank you all even though I don't like the sentiment of some of the posts you might be actually doing god's work now. Thank you all!

This is something I came up with a few months back while working on a piece of art and thought it was depressingly accurate to our current situation and circumstances. What we have is a world filled with leaders who are truly something like psychopathic and animalistic when it's all said and done. From healthcare in the United States to the Military-Industrial Complex to the Prison-Industrial Complex to the homeless pandemic to worker's rights. What we see now, happening across the globe, is akin to brain stems fighting each other.

Got a new job that pays me more. Gave my current boss 2 weeks notice. I fucking hate working here and want to leave right now and never come back, if I do will it affect my new job at all? Like could my boss call up my new boss and tell him how “unprofessional” I am or something
