Manager defying their OWN rules?
I work in a bar in the UK, and my manager has explicitly stated she’d rather we didn’t drink in the establishment off hours as customers may recognise us and see it as ‘unprofessional’. Never bothered me that much, but a few days ago this exact manager wasn’t working and came in with two friends. She racked up a tab of over £100 on drinks and got absolutely smashed – she was doing shots of Jäger and singing embarrassingly and loudly to the point it was disturbing other customers. Someone even said to me ‘you get some lively ones in here hey?’, I was so close to saying ‘Yep that’s our general manager’. How can we be expected to take anything she says seriously when she’s going against her own rules in such a huge way, to the point of getting embarrassingly drunk? This woman is pushing 40 and me…
I apologize in advance for this long winded story, TLDR at the bottom I work for a small organic chocolate company operating the main production machine. There are around 50 people working for the entire company in total. With that said, the company distributes a lot of chocolate every month to big stores such as Walmart, Stop & Shop, and Whole Foods, as well as many smaller grocery stores around the US. The company recently hired a new production manager since the old one left, and he is exactly the kind of manager that only cares about what's good for the business and not the workers. Production goals have been significantly higher since he started here, he loads side tasks onto us in the middle of the day and makes changes to things that throw the whole production line out of sync for hours, he expects everyone to stay as…

Apes together strong
I finally have a good one for this page. A little back story on one of my jobs. It's a 24 hour family home for people with dementia. It's a relatively easy job, but we only have 5 workers. We each are supposed to work 3 twelve hour shifts and I was originally hired as an extra to fill in the gaps in The gaps in schedule so others could have time off. I told my boss when our 6th employee left on maternity leave that I was willing to work more hours since this was our homes only income unexpectedly. At first, he was completely down with it and promised me a full time position. While telling me this, I noticed that every week he was putting other workers down for over 50 hours a week and leaving me at 12, sometimes 24 hours a week. After his continued…
I just interviewed myself
Seriously jusy had a phone interview for a large state university…. mother fuckers asked me if “my application was accurate” and then said that's all their questions, asked if i had any…. I said sure and fired my first question…. the interview lead cut everyone off who was about to say their answer and says “ACTUALLY I WANT TO COUNTER THIS QUESTION WITH ONE BACK TO YOU,” ….silence as everyone waited for 'her question', then she started backpedaling saying what a good question I asked, and how relevant it is, but SHE wanted to hear MY answer…. like wtf you dumb bitch?
