I’m fed up with working for people that don’t value me, and expect me to give everything to make the founders and investors rich. So here I am looking to make my own software development company. I’m still trying to refine and tune this idea into something that would actually work and solve the problems many of us face in this community. Here’s my idea. Equally split profit sharing among all employees (including me) no matter if you’re fresh out of college or working for 25 years. My theory here is that when everyone is paid equally there is equally shared responsibilities over everyone’s success. There is no difference in my opinion from someone being a senior dev designing systems and being a junior dev handling grunt tasks. All work is equally valuable to the success of a product. The work is just different. This would promote a loosely flat…

My last interview sucked so much
Long story short I've been trying to find some part-time work to further finance my small business I started a year ago. I get a call from a my nearest movie theater in my mind okay awesome I can handle that by the time the interview rolls around I get there and the interview takes 5 minutes I get the job I'm hired awesome! Yet I filed no paperwork at all except write my name and email on a blank sheet of paper…………………… That's it thats the story a complete waste of my time.
“the customer is always right”
By far my least favorite part of working is being verbally abused and condescended to. The customer is literally never right. Never. So why do they keep treating employees like this? Because we let them. We are afraid to lose our jobs so we shove down our dignity. I hoping for a time soon where we can tell people that they can not talk to us like that and that if they want to be served then they have to show some respect, and thats that. If you cant speak to me like a human being then you can get the fuck out of the store. How do you think we as the majority could make something like this a reality in all customer service positions?
Only reason why we have any workers rights at all is because our great great grandfathers protested and striked for them they took up arms and guarded factories and refused to let workers in killing the owner's business forcing them to give in to demands this is the only way we're going to get anywhere
they want me back
Follow up to my previous post. I was replaced and demoted without notice a month ago, so I quit. Last week my bosses texted me but I didn't see their messages because I blocked them. I asked my friend who still works there if the store was down bad and they needed me. Apparently, the girl who packs for the farmers markets keeps fucking up so they want me back and my replacement is getting twice the work but getting paid less. I shouldn't be surprised that they're greedy and shamelessly asking me to come back after treating me like I'm nothing but… 🤷️ I feel bad for the replacement, too. That whole place just sucks.
