Every damn day after the shift ends I just find myself exhausted to no end, unable to spend even a couple of hours on LIVING before bedtime And now imagine we're expected to do this fucking bullshit for 50+ years, wtf Just end capitalism already, introduce true socialism where wealth is evenly distributed across all people, and let us live

I applied to a start up back in the fall, went through 8 interviews, and they passed me up due to the compensation I wanted and said I'm over qualified, w.e. Come now to my new job paying me what I wanted, I love it. The old company started checking out my LinkedIn so I reached out to see what's up, they stopped and said nothing. Today I log on while eating my lucky charms to sell me on their product. They literally stalked me, saw that I was in a new organization and want me to pitch their product since I already know it from the interview process. GTFOOH

Cost of living has dramatically increased in the boring, backwards flyover state in which I reside. In 2017, I rented a nice 2 bed 2 bath for $850 plus utilities. I now pay $1075 for another 2 bed 2 bath, that is old and shitty. They informed me my rent will increase by $40 next month. I need to work on my credit so I can move, but how can I fucking do that when EVERYTHING is going up in price? The middle class always suffers so that the rich can hold on to their lifestyle. Let’s tax the fuck out of those goons and make it illegal for them to put money in tax havens. I’m sick of it. If I had the money I’d move to a country that takes care of its people, and out of the United States of fucking embarrassment.

A few months back, my office sent out a survey of telework preferences for the future. Nearly 70% of employees chose full telework as their first choice. Fast forward to today, the return to office notice drops and it's maximum 2 days of telework per week with a month to prepare. Absolutely classic from people in charge and a perfect example of this country's problems. What matters more? The preference of the majority of your employees, or the income of whomever is influencing these decisions? I can't wait for the inevitable news that people are retiring and leaving for new jobs. Complete ignorance from people in power that telework is the future. Rather than adapt to changing times, the powers that be flex their muscle. You can't keep our income stagnant AND force us to spend.
