Hey just trying to get an idea of what anyone thinks about this and what I could possibly do against my prev. employer I was let go today from a large Managed service provider IT company while on Workman's comp due to injury received from an elevator door closing on me I received various contusions bruised lungs ribs and other symptoms and have been in constant pain and in bed since then they let me go today after 11 days of being out with confirmed injuries and workman's comp being filed is there any other recourse I may have against my prev. employer for this retaliation?

I was on jury duty and a job came up that I normally do. Someone else with the knowledge to do it was tasked with doing it instead. I called them after my jury duty and they told me it’s all done. I called all three relevant stakeholders . None answered. I then emailed them telling them it had been done. No replies. I sent out a document saying it had been completed, no complaints. I tried to catch one when she was in the office “ I’m too busy” . Today I get an angry stakeholder ( who ignored two emails a call and when I tried to speak face to face ) shouting at me saying it was done without her permission. The change wasn’t enacted and now I’m going to get shit from the company. Why do I even bother?

He also said that I shouldn't expect a living from the company and if I want a job that pays for one I should find somewhere that does. I told him not to worry because I've been looking for one for weeks.

I'm having one of those days where I realise a lot of people I work with are fake as fuck and I don't know if I'm coping well with it. Probably a dumb question but is it just a retail thing or do other industries experience fake/toxic behaviour in the workplace as well?

Hello all, i was wondering what you think about being “corporate” on LinkedIn. My job is asking me to change the banner on my profile to one made with their logo and to put on my description a marketing-made speech about the company. I like my job and everything so far, but i don't like the idea of doing this.. What do you think ?
