I was so optimistic about this position because I was declined for the executive assistant position within the company. The owner made it sound like she would be interested in me working on her social media presence, I spent weeks on a presentation. Two days before the presentation she emails me to say that they have found a social media manager, but she never told me there were other candidates. Weeks worth of research for her company just gone down the drain……never will I do a proposal for free again!
My boss considers daylight saving time.
We are all on a freelance project and as we are leaving tells us “ok, guys. See you at 9.” And someone on the crew makes a commitment about setting their clocks. And boss man yells “OH FUCK! 10! Make it 10. Fuck that.”
So, I decided to do my taxes today..
And I'm wondering why I bother to work at all. I just found out that my work has been taking money out of my check for an HSA that I declined, and not taking out the proper state taxes. Lost about a $1,000 to the HSA and owe about $1,000 in state taxes. Oh, happy day! At least they took out enough for the Federal Taxes, not enough to get much of anything back, but at least I don't owe the feds and it'll put the tiniest scratch into what I lost/owe. (2,000 is kind of a lot for me) I knew my bosses hated me, but good lord! I give them 50 hours a week of top tier electro-mechanical work. (technician and engineering duties) Not a single thing I've done has ever gotten even one hit from the quality control department, I beat the recomended labor times by 5…
