It's done, thanks to an amazing Redditor who reached out to cut through the maze of bullshit my ex-employer had tried to make us believe. Here's the TLDR : During the pandemic the government extended to people who were furloughed (temporarily let-go) a stipend to help us make ends meet. My ex-employer made us work once we qualified making us bank hours that he ended up not paying us. I ended up complaining but instead of getting paid was told I was part of a 'con' and should let it go.** I was then let go permanently**. Well turns out, I wasn't part of any con and that the only con was what came out of his mouth. About a month ago, he found out my band was getting some media attention and tried to make me talk about the 'values' I learned in that job. Instead today I finished…
Management refuses to allocate any funds to marketing. Instead they think I should be cold calling and driving around town to different businesses to market in person. When I asked about reimbursement for my expenses from doing that, boss looked at me like I had two heads! Marketing was not in my job description, neither was working outside of my office. Too much of our own money gets spent on corporate subsidies, bailouts, tax cuts, and other stuff that mostly only benefits a small percentage of people.” Everyone was more or less in agreement. I've talked about surplus value (without using that term directly), how companies wouldn't hire you unless you produced more value for them then they have to pay back…
