I know I’m being fucked by my employees. Some folks don’t realize it, but I realize it very very well. The problem is, I have children and a wife to support. So my question becomes this: is it ethical to sabotage your workplace, when you do not have the ability to stand up for yourself legally because you need the paycheck? Toilets easily clog, and the pipes underneath as well. It can become very expensive to fix. Bathrooms don’t have cameras and it’s almost impossible to find out who done it. Is r/antiwork pro sabotage? Do you have any stories of your own? Thanks!
Can Democrats See What’s Coming?
Even in the 80s where people were engrossed by Reagan and Thatcher, science fiction writers knew that if the work-to-live system of society was a bust. Add even more automation, even more tech, but don't change anything economically and it's going to be a dystopia. Either capitalism is replaced entirely or it's altered so severely it's no longer recognizable as such. Otherwise, it's work, suffer, struggle, die, but in the future.
The direction doesn't really matter, but if the fear and threat of large corporations leaving house when we don't abuse workers exists, it cripples the democratic process. Fuck the merchant class, and fuck borders. If you think Im too idealistic, go nuts, but we have less than 80 years left at most as a species, assuming we follow the current plot.
I experienced harassment from my direct manager on at least three separate occasions which created for a very uncomfortable experience going to work. It still bothers me. It bothers me even more when I brought up the situations to the Head of HR and the response I received from explaining what was happening. “Well, you should be flattered. You were receiving a compliment from your manager” was the exact response I got from the Head of HR when I brought up what was happening. The first time my manager stopped me at work was near the elevators when I was leaving the floor to go on a break. She stopped to say that she had saw me going for a run over the weekend and said she was going to stop me to talk with me but didn't as I was already in motion from running. Then she shifted the…
How to resign with malace?
I have recently moved from a shit job to a decent one. If anyone has any tips on how to put my resignation letter together I would be grateful. My points are these: •Trained by a sex offender with a 13 year warrant out for abusing his daughter (I am a survivor of childhood sexual assault) •Part time employee while regularly working 40-60 hrs a week •No benefits •Loss of almost all contracts due to bad management (aka no work) •Low wage •Bad communication Advice?
If we don't have more people open up their availability then it forces us to hire more associates to cover those shifts that can't be worked or when people take too much time off. That results in less hours for others. -scheduling manager This was said to me when I reminded them that I was no longer available on Fridays. I had previously given them five days of availability and they had me scheduled for about 9hrs a week average. Im not taking time off so I dont know why they said that and clearly being 70% available to them is more than they need from me…, I let them know of my availability change and they shoot back that bs like its my problem. Just got a text that Im no longer needed for my scheduled shift for tomorrow. Which means Ill probably keep changing my availability until it's…
It is REALLY hard being in front of a computer 8/9 hours a day, 5 days a week. I am also SO done working like this.
