Burn out and WFH
I will always be a supporter of working from home. I work in the corporate sphere with a hybrid schedule where I'm in the office 3 days a week and home for two. I know there's a lot of online humor about how WFH can mean doing anything else but work. I like working in my apartment because I don't have a manager breathing down my neck every minute of the day. I've worked from home since the start of the pandemic and I know that I can be productive, but I've hit a point where it is such a relief to be out of the office that my concentration tanks and part of me doesn't care. My days in the office have been productive enough to keep me afloat and the few activities I do at home have supported it. My 90-day review last week went well and I…
You could probably guess what they picked lol.

How to thrive without work?
How are users here surviving and thriving without a job? Is everyone here an entrepreneur? If so, then you still “work”, it’s just on your own terms. Do you collect welfare : unemployment? I just don’t understand where the money comes from. Thank You
This is my first post here and it seems like rants are okay to post and I need to get this off my chest. I’ve had worse jobs than this, much worse. But never have I had a more out of whack compensation to responsibility ratio. I’m a department of one supporting a company of 40,000 in 4 states. I got a 2.75% raise in 2020 and a 3% this year despite being constantly verbally blown by everyone. What really grinds my fucking gears though is that I do the job of a Director but my title is Senior Analyst and I rather suspect this is so they can get someone to do a director’s job at an analyst’s salary. I brought this up at my last performance review and the reaction was, after spending 15 minutes telling me how great I was, basically “haha yeah great idea let’s circle…
What's wrong with that?? Fuck the system!!!!
