This may be a bit rantish but I have to vent. Background: I've been employed at my job for 14 years. I make $13 /hour and .75% of the gross profit my department makes. I can't get more specific about what I do without being too obvious. I decided today, I'd ask my boss for a cost of living raise. I asked for a $2 raise, so $15 /hour. In response to the inflation that's happening in the world. I knocked on his door and asked if he had a moment, he said yes. My last raise took place February 2020, bumping my percentage based pay from .5% to .75% I raised many good points about myself.
