As a Ukrainian, I’m even going above and beyond by sending them sunflower seeds and letting all the dirty stuff fly. Best part- as an entry level employee, I have access to Way too much information I absolutely should not have access to and I’m gonna let my coworkers know… it’s about to be a Walmart exit by email. Better part is, I’ll be saying what other workers can’t because they’ll be fired if they speak up. Senators and DWD are involved as well. They messed with the wrong Ukrainian. Any suggestions on ways to make sure it really stings?
Health is wealth
Pretty simple formula. Pays higher in high cost areas lower in low cost areas. Inspires corporations to move their business to lower cost areas spreading the jobs in those areas while only minimally depleting the initial local. Ensures a living wage and eliminates bullshit positions.
Fire the newbie keep the family
So I work at a pretty big chain company, I'm employed in their manufacturing team. So you'd think with a well know multi-million company you'd be employed with other strangers or whatever. No, no the mangers daughters, cousins, boyfriend, friends, girlfriend are all hired there. It's harder to find out who isn't related. Anyway when I was first employed people would always ask me who I knew and were surprised I was employed without the recommendation of a family member. After working here for close to a year, I had to work so hard and deal with such unnecessary bull and I'm always on the cutting block with this company. They have an extremely high turnover rate and its not because people quit. They terminate anyone who isn't apart of the “inner circle” and can't meet their ridiculous KPI's. Trust me, when I'm boxing with a team leader or family…

It's a 4 person job, at least. There were two people today, myself included. That one person had to go to lunch. So, here I am, solo in the service deli, slicing meat and cheese for people, cooking raw chicken, cooking sides, serving up salads, cleaning the machines periodically, and serving fried chicken (while making 8pcs to go out on the floor). All while I've only been working here about 3 to 4 weeks. I'm being paid minimum wage, working at roughly twice the rate that I can go without physical and mental damage. Today initiated my fight or flight response so strongly that I'm sitting here now on lunch petrified, barely able to move. I've never had a job cause psychological damage like this. I just want to go home and end it
It's been a few days, and this is STILL bothering me. Need to vent. I was able to get myself an interview as a Front Desk Associate for a popular brand of hotels. I go to the interview, and at first, it goes VERY well. I answer everything well, I'm being charismatic, etc. The interviewer seems to be receptive and likes what she's hearing. She starts talking to me as if the job is already mine. When discussing the next steps, she tells me I need to fill out another application (even though I obviously already filled one out), and create some online Employee Portal Account. She gives me laptop with a nearly dead battery, and a paper application to fill out. And a pen with NO ink that absolutely REFUSES to write. During this whole time, I was by myself in a conference room and she had left me…
