the title speaks for itself. this is a massive vent. my friend-now-coworker helped me get a job at a retail store. I don’t hate it, but I don’t plan to stay there forever. my goal is to work in a pharmacy, and while I don’t mind staying in my position, I won’t hesitate to resign if given the opportunity I want. I’ve expressed some of this to my coworker, so he’s well aware I don’t have intentions of moving up in positions here. So apparently my gf's manager removed all 3 stools from their breakroom so people wouldn't just “sit around”. So after waiting on a party of 20 for $10 in tips, she can relax and eat a meal standing up at the pop up table in the middle of the room.

Working from home might seem like a good idea right now, but you are inviting the vampire into your house. Now you will be obligated to make your house a proffessional atmosphere. Your lifestyle will need to be one that conforms to company standards as well. Oh and dont even get me started on 'work life balance'. That won't exist anymore. If you are not working while at home you will be stealing company time.
