So fucking sick of this talking point – jobs numbers don’t mean a goddamn thing when you need 2+ jobs to survive. This was true well before Covid and is even dumber now.

I have worked here for 2.5 years and had my first sick day this week. I really do not feel comfortable with the fact I have to disclose my specific sickness or illness. I have never had a job that has required this info. Am I the weird one for feeling off about this??

“Just do Internships to Get Experience to get a Job”

Meanwhile internships: https://preview.redd.it/3lr5prjgzgl81.png?width=468&format=png&auto=webp&s=60c36fa3e693099fe9e53e7bc779c90d42db6e8e Am I insane, or is it ridiculously hard to get into the programming market without professional experience now? All I see is the normal “We need experience from you so that you can get experience from us, also we'll pay you in experience. What are our goals?

I dont want this to come across the wrong way but I see a whole lot of outrage and complaining in this sub which is necessary to get a fire light under people and get everyone motivated but what is the point of the anger isn't being directed and more often times than not this sub just seems like a place for people to release pent up anger rather and discuss real policy change and goals for us to meet and maybe most importantly how we can organize and reach those goals. Use this post as a place for (peaceful and civil) discussion of these topics and what you think are the best solutions and routes to take to better our society. Don't be scared to share no matter how unpopular your opinion might be.

Yeah just get *another* job! How out of touch can you be?!?

Too many families are still struggling with higher costs. I get it. Our top priority must be getting prices under control. That’s why we’re going to create more jobs that you can earn a living, a good living, right here in America, and invest in infrastructure and innovation.— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) March 4, 2022
