I work in retail as a cashier and on my last worked shift i had a customer ask me to load some funds on their cash-app for a few hundred dollars. Their app isn't one we normally support but he was insistent it should work from our website listing so i figured i would try it to appease him. Go through the process, scan the loading code from his phone app, take his payment all cash and as i put it in my drawer the post authorization comes through declined as the transaction not working and that i need to refund the cash. So i call my supervisor, cashiers aren't able to refund. It's all done through the supervisor on shift, notably the manager on that shift with me while kind is really bad at remembering their procedures and has a very laissez-faire take on their job. I just got invited to a virtual interview for a corporate IT job and with it they included a link to check out their facilities. Everything looked normal until one of the last pictures.. there are phone lockers. Also most of my interviews so far have been a half hour, 45 mins, an hour.. this mofo is 3.5 hours!?

I put in my 2 weeks. I know this sub doesn't always like that but I just couldn't bring myself to quit without notice because I feel it would harm my coworkers too much, and I hope I can put this experience on my resume. You don’t Don’t have to work in the restaurant industry to feel like this ofcourse but did anyone else feel like they were worth nothing. It’s like at anytime you can be let go for basically nothing. For the first two weeks all they other staff hated me most still did. ( you would think I hurt them outside of work) also When they are shorted staffed they want you to come in if you say you can’t you know they will act funny scheduling you. Then other days you go in to work and get sent home a hour later. I'm a contract worker for a Medicare conglomerate. Throughout this project with them, they've provided awful training, never had a straight answer for anything including the chain of command and basic questions such as “Who do I talk to about getting paid on time?” Well, I was getting paid on time so I just thought whatever, but the tech problems had gotten worse and they told me to call IT THEN penalized me for the time I took calling them, saying it was call avoidance. I live in Australia and was looking for work as an entry accountant. I saw an advertisement on Facebook for a business that said -9am to 5pm work-hours -10 years experience in bank reconciliation, accounts payable, processing invoices, knowledge in taxation for GST (tax of goods) and payroll tax. -Must know how to use MYOB, Xero. -Advanced experience in excel -Must have a CPA …. -$20 an hour (minimum wage in Australia).
