I'm seeing a LOT less “Antiwork has a problem with racists/Nazis antivaxxers aren't welcome no cOvIdIoTs in our subreddit” diversion and division as of late, compared to the lead up to the interview when this sub was FIIILLLLEEEDDD with posts that had NOTHING TO DO with antiwork. That's how you know they won, the shills are gone and this sub isn't in the news anymore. They succeeded in dividing and weakening us, not just that interview but the fucking constant stream of shill posts turning everybody against eachother…. They weakened us the same exact way they destroyed Occupy Wall Street. Used the same tactics. And it fucking worked. I hope you all are proud of yourselves, anybody that took part in that bullshit period of Antiwork history. Nice job.
Infinite inflating poem
Boss makes a dollar, i make a dime, Putin starts a war, inflation soaring thru the sky, Oligarchs and capitalists gauge costs a thousand time. Landlord increases rent, cant put payment down, with pennys in my hand, groceries passing by, cant afford food, social help got denied. Growling stomach and tiered mind, my physician say, i should take some vacation time. I wish i could, but my boss needs me, to piss in a bottle can now, as i deliver this expensive sweatshop gown to the rich family mom. A most relatable tweet
HR just called me into their office and asked if I was planning attending an interview today, basing it entirely on my attire. I'm an IT guy for an international Tech company. It's a very relaxed office, with no strict clothing rules. I normally wear whatever I feel comfortable in. Usually jeans, t-shirt, hoodie, and combat boots, for example. Today however, I woke up in a good mood, and being nice sunny Friday, I decided to make an effort and slipped into some nice suit pants, dress shoes and a black shirt. Apparently, my change in appearance was enough to raise a few eyebrows and someone from my office informed HR that I must be dressed to impress and planning on attending an interview…
Lol no you don’t, and no I won’t
A recent example of employer entitlement
I was sat in the pub watching the football (unlucky Boreham Wood) with a couple of friends last night when one of them blurted this out. “Can I ask you guys something? If you were offered a promotion without a payrise what would you say?” I said “I'd laugh in their face.” He said “I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that's completely out of order. A FTSE 100 company not even willing to do the basics. I asked for a grand pay rise for it, I'm underpaid as is.” It's been playing on my mind since. I mean the gall of it, asking for the additional responsibility and work for free to someone's face.
