The title says it all. Planning to go out of the country without letting my employer know. Was wondering if there could be any restrictions/alerts based on my location. Is there a way to check without calling IT? Edit: thanks y'all, a work laptop is a no-no for me. I'm also able to connect via VPN using my personal laptop – would they be able to track me if I do that? Edit2: What if I double VPN it? Let's say I go to Africa and this location is restricted when I try to use my work VPN. What if I set VPN on my personal computer to North America, is there a chance I'm going to be able to connect to the work VPN? Sorry if that's a stupid question, I'm not very tech-savvy.
How many applications can one submit?
Hi all, Just wanted to vent and see what I’m doing wrong here. So, I’m trying to find a new job. I’ve been at my job for around 12 years now and finally got my bachelors degree in December. I’ve updated my resume, listed my job responsibilities, along with my skills, and have submitted over 100 applications. Under my skills I listed the job applications that I currently use along with your normal response of Microsoft applications, communication, and etc. Am I doing something wrong that I haven’t landed a new job? It has been 2 months. I’m just so baffled by this.
Miserable line cook
Pardon my spelling and what not, well line cook here, boss only has me on closing shifts, with 1 opening day yet i have to babysit the night shift for an hr. I have to clean every night the whole restaurant, bathrooms. And do dishes, there's 3 of us but the other's dont bother cleaning because boss never mentioned it to them. Everyone else has a higher pay. And im just the idiot that doesn't say anything. Daytime guy refuses to work night shifts or else he'll quit. Texted my boss regarding my shifts and how i would like a change in the schedule
Can I do anything about this? I told her I got a better job and she responded with “lol, why did you waste my time” and is refusing to mail my final paycheck to me.
Pay cut disguised as a “pay raise”
Today I had my first performance review after a year with a corporate medical company. I was super excited for a solid raise since I knew my performance and feedback have been excellent. My past 3 quarters of employment were met with a 5/5 patient satisfactory survey score. I am payed hourly PLUS a $50 commission for each patient that I see. I average about 8-10 patients per week as I can travel pretty far any given day. Boss: “Sooooo, in order to make things more fair for our telehealth staff (who only earn $20 per patient seen) we’re removing the commission fees entirely!” Me… thinking fair would mean RAISING the commission fee for the telehealth staff instead of ditching it for EVERYONE entirely Boss: But! To accommodate this change, we are giving you a raise of an extra $7 per hour! I literally did the math. I will be…
Our theme song…
Being the worst kind of dictators,..trying to belittle others for making mistakes..hurt others emotions and threaten others to just get more attention and validation.thinking that they are so cool in doing so and trying to create a situation of chaos in workplace so that the company will profit from the situation.making inhumane decisions ,disrespecting employers ,speaking behind their backs and telling that they support them..what sort of devil's comlanies had created by feeding money .. Does this companies know that they are creating this cold hearted people ..
