Long. I work at moes south wets grill in Virginia. The minimum wage here is 11 dollars an hour, and goes up a dollar every year until it hits 15. Anyway, I was working and the store managers son who I'm cool with walks up and tells me he just found out we still make 10 dollars an hour. I instantly walked to the office and asked if we are making 10. Shift manager says yes and that the tip jar up front makes up for the difference. I told her I was the minimum wage plus the tips or I would be not showing up tomorrow. So, they try to pull the whole “servers make 3 dollars an hour plus tips” things. Superstore, the best TV show about work?
Hi, I was rewatching Superstore and I got the feeling of having missed so many on point things about work on my first watch! There is so much in this show: -Maternity leave -Union -Betraying your class for a nice salary -And so much more If you haven't watched it or watched it before being more aware of the work environment I strongly recommend to watch it. Any suggestions on an other work related TV show (don't say the office) ?

Any Jobs out there people love?
Iv hit 30 and have no ambition to continue to work for the next 30 years unless it's something I can truly be excited about
This is your sign to quit
I appreciate all the posts where a person stands up for themselves against their employer and throws in the towel. If you’re looking for a sign to quit your depressing, rat-race job, this is it right here. I’m not an advocate for homelessness, and I’m not telling you to quit your job if you don’t have enough saved up for at least a couple months. The only way to take back our power is to do exactly that: LEAVE Keep fighting the good fight~|
