Hello! So, like the title suggests, my partner recently got a new job. When handing in her notice she said that pay was big reason in looking for something else as she's been on minimum wage (UK, so £8.91/hour). When she got the job, she wasn't fully qualified in her field, but got the qualification within three months. Her managers both told her later on in the day that she should've been getting paid £9.50/hour from June 2021, but they can't backdate it. This seems really sketchy to me, especially as they admitted she should've been paid that for the last 8 months… Anyone any experience with anything like this and can offer some advice? We've tried looking online but can't find much in the way of clear advice…
IT Job listing says it's for a BA but is really for support. Here are three call-out skills: o A healing focus o A selfless heart o A tireless resolve Which is more frightening?
Is this real like I can’t even…
I use to work 30 hours a week but now I’m only working 15 hours. It sucks. I worked my ass off to show that I’m a good worker and deserve the hours. But nope, I get less hours. My manager is always saying “ I’m cutting peoples hours because we aren’t making enough money”, yet she’s trying to hire more people and puts too much people on schedule. Doesn’t make sense to me. Yesterday I was told to leave early because of this excuse. I wasn’t even done with my work. When I was clocking out I saw someone doing MY JOB. I could’ve actually got my hours that day if I were to just continue doing my work instead of the people who were just standing around doing it. Why was I sent home when I actually had work to do still? Rather than the people doing nothing?…
RANTING: I started my job in January (it’s part time and it doesn’t pay all that great considering the tolls it takes when commuting). Anyway I’ve had to call out once in January due to my car breaking down and needing to it fixed at a shop. Then once in the beginning of the month because I had a terrible stomach virus (cramping and throwing up for two days straight). It’s now March and I have an unexpected funeral I have to attend in a different state. Reached out to our assistant manager and told her I got a call regarding my grandfather’s passing and that I won’t be able to make it into work (it’s out of state and I’m the only one who can really help translate for my family). Next thing I know I get an email from the lady in corporate who hired me saying “I’m…
Indeed sucks
So a few months back I had left a job and I tried leaving a truthful review to prevent people experiencing the abuse I did at that job I told them about how someone worked 1 day and quit didn’t get paid for it I tried telling them how I was Sabotaged by a coworker and how I was blamed for it but it wasn’t approved by undress guidelines.
Today was my last day!
I worked 7 years at a call center and at first I really enjoyed it. I got good at my job and ended up the technical advisor thinking I would be treated nicer but that did not happen. They went through 6 managers for the call center, the day I was hired they walked one out without warning her. I knew this place wasn't the best but I thoroughly enjoyed my actual job position helping people with patterns, finding errors and solutions, playing with yarn, then I was forced to take customer service then orders as well (the manager at the time was horrible and the supervisor seriously had it out for me.) After years of being told I would get my time back to work with patterns, they finally told me I would never get my time back but was still expected to do that and everything else. I…
